Went up to Blue Ridge Parkway with a buddy of mine just for a nice easy going ride and take in some nice scenery....was on the new bike Kawi ER6N....rode down the parkway about 85 miles and stopped for about an hour and we were back on our way....made it about 1/2 mile came to this fairly sharp curve....leaned over....heard something drag and that was it...low side....i slid down the pavement about 20 feet the bike as well into the dirt before coming to a stop....I was up before the bike even stopped moving...my friend stopped as well as the car behind us we got the bike back up and rode to the next overlook....ripped a whole in both my jackets arms and on the left pants leg....which i got road rash on both my left arm and leg...Thankfully other than that i am ok....not really for sure what went wrong there is still about 1/4 inch chicken strip on each side of the rear tire...think maybe the tires were just cold but not for sure...Here are a few pics of the bike...ordered the parts today...total came to $760 and of course I'm doing all the work myself...nothing major just all cosmetic...rode the bike back home about 130 miles.

Talk about a difference! Just about zero... On advice of some knowledgeable Gixxer Racers, I put a Zero Gravity Corsa windscreen on my 07 1K. Talk about a difference! Just about zero wind/buffeting! Took it to 135 indicated on a clear patch of interstate and it was like I was doing 30 on the OEM screen...kinda messes up the looks I don't really like how the shape matches the bike, but this is my trackbike and function beats form. Can't wait to try it out at my next trackday (Barber in 2 weeks). A VERY functional screen for trackriding at high speed!
